Dear A,
I spent the week catching up on a backlog of emails. Somedays I feel like my job consists of sitting in front of a keyboard just responding to requests. I don't mind it... but, I find that I can only do it every few days (otherwise, I wouldn't be able to do other things that need to get done).
Here's what I'm exploring this week...
The Orient Express. Ever since I read Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express as a kid, I have always wanted to spend a night on the classic luxury train. I found this video that has only peaked my desire even more. I can't wait to have an incredible dinner - in my tux - with my wife on this "must do" item from my bucket list.
Michael's on East. Today is my wife and I's anniversary. As such, I am taking her to our favorite local restaurant. Michael's has been under renovation for some time now, so we're anxious to see the new decor.
The Truth About Creatine and Water Weight. According to the Arnold Schwarzenegger newsletter, "It helps in the gym, protects your brain, and may even aid in fighting off cancer and Alzheimer’s. Creatine is linked to all of these health benefits, and yet many people still avoid it because they think it makes them look “puffy” or adds fat. But a meta-analysis suggests that fear is entirely unfounded.
Creatine doesn’t make you bloated; in fact, it might do the opposite. Research suggests creatine helps you build more lean muscle and lower your body fat percentage, all without changing how much water you hold."
Hard Truths on Hard Knocks. For anyone who has ever played on special teams in the game of football (I played on every special team at Michigan State), you know that special teams film sessions can sometimes be rough. God forbid, you get the dreaded laser pointer shining on your jersey on the big screen. Special teams coaches - like Coach Keith Armstrong - are wired different. You don't want to disappoint them. If you do, you will be reprimanded mercilessly in team meetings. Most young people today can't handle this kind of verbal abuse... but, it's all part of the game. This really should be considered the definition of "tough love."
"You are what your record says you are.”

Thank you for your attention. As always, I welcome your thoughts and suggestions.
Stay safe and vigilant,
